I had written a commentary on my choices and was
screwed up by my MSN. I don't have the time or wherewithall to re write the whole thing so I'll just list my top 10. (Not nessecarily in order)
I'll post pics of a couple of the ones that may surprise some folks about some of my off the beaten track tastes.
McFarlane
1.12" WoR Spawn
2.18" Edward Scissorhands
3.12" Crow
4.12" Mandarin Spawn
5. Spawn 17 Spawn V
6. Spawn 17 Tiffany II
7. Spawn 25 Hellspawn I.05
Hasbro
8.Batman Legends of the Dark Knight (Dark Knight Detective)
9.Star Wars Unleashed Boba Fett
Mattel
10.Justice League 10" Wonder Woman
Now this is probably the most off the beaten track of my "favorite" figures/ She is not highly detailed, she is very "Cartoony", but for some reason that I can't quite figure out, I'm absolutely nuts about this figure. I just think she somehow 'works'!
Runners Up
Neca The Crow 'Reflections'
Never thought I'd include a Neca figure set in my faves but, what a great concept!
DC Direct
Sandman 'Incarnations'
Sorry Todd, but next to Spawn, 'The Sandman' is about my favorite comic. You and Gaiman may have had an ugly parting of the ways, but you obviously hired him to wriye the Angela mini series for some reason...His Talent. Again I love this set due to it's clean lines, very arty approach and I feel it could have easily been turned into a very expensive set of statues but thank you DC Direct for keeping it in PVC so those of us who love the two comics depicted here
had a shot!

1. Mandarin Spawn: The Scarlet Edge - The one that started it all. Still my favorite. I don't think it will ever be topped. A true work of art in plastic (and it only cost me $7.99)
2. Swamp Thing (DC Direct) - Another work of art in plastic. Bowen's statue shrunk down. I loved it even before I read Swamp Thing. And now that I've read it (the Moore stuff, at least), I appreciate the figure even more.
3. Edward Scissorhands (Movie Maniacs) - Looks just like the character. Amazing detail. And useful articulation, too. Glad I have one with a pale face.
4. Eric Draven (Movie Maniacs) - Great stance. I think I love this figure so much just because of the pose.
5. Mole People (Sideshow 8") - There is no logical explanation as to why I love this guy so much.
6. Headless Horseman (Sleepy Hollow) - Another great stance. Looks menacing without a face. The bit of vertebrae coming out the neck hole is a great touch. Amazing detail, too.
7. EVA 01 (shiny purple) - Was once my least favorite EVA, but now my favorite. I think its head makes it look the most menacing of all the EVAs. And there aren't enough shiny purple toys
8. Spawn (issue 7 cover) - My favorite Spawn. I like older Spawn. More red and less spikes getting in the way. The cape is a thing of wonder. And McFarlane finally starts using bringt red paint more! Great stance, amazing cape.
9. Wayne Gretzky 2 - The Great One...on my favorite team...breaking THE RECORD! And now I have his celebration immortalized in plastic. Thank you, McFarlane toys.
10. Theoden (Toy Biz) - I'm obsessed with Bernard Hill. This is an action figure of Hill. And it has (IMO) the best likeness of Toy Biz's LotR figures. Why they gave it to Theoden, I don't know. But I'm glad they did. Only complaint - the figure can ONLY hold his sword in his right hand (as evidenced by the picture). Hill's left-handed. But I'm sure I'm the only one who cares...
